American Trust Insurance Makes Donation to Habitat for Humanity and Sioux Falls Humane Society

(SSD, December 19, 2019) American Trust Insurance (ATI) announced that the company will celebrate the holiday season by launching an “All Together In-giving” campaign on December 16. This pay it forward campaign will give $100 to each ATI employee to present to one person, a family, group or cause in need this holiday season. The mission of the “All Together In-giving” campaign is to spread kindness, support families, strengthen the communities and share with individuals and families in need in the ten communities that ATI serves.

“We are incredibly grateful to our employees and our communities and want to give back in a significant, intentional way,” said Preston Steele, Owner and CEO of American Trust Insurance. “We feel that we can truly make a difference this holiday season by inspiring our ATI team to individually determine the beneficiary of his/her “All Together In-giving” dollars and present their choice with a monetary donation.”

Team members of the Sioux Falls location decided to pool their funds to help both people and animals in need by giving to Habitat for Humanity and the Sioux Falls Humane Society.

“We really wanted to make a difference within the Sioux Falls community,” said Sadie Steen, ATI Account Executive. “With Habitat for Humanity we could help people in need and with the Sioux Falls Humane Society we could help animals in need.”

The ATI team met with Habitat for Humanity Executive Director, Rocky Welker on December 18 to present their “All Together In-giving” donation. Upon receiving, Welker said, “We are grateful for community partners like your organization that allow us to continue to build homes for deserving families in Sioux Falls,” said Rocky Welker, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity. “Without contributions like these we wouldn’t be able to continue these efforts.”

The team also chose the Sioux Falls Humane Society as a beneficiary, and like Habitat for Humanity, the funds received impact the Sioux Falls community directly.

“With this being our centennial year and being around for 100 years, we rely on local businesses and community members to support the humane society. Anything fundraised or donated goes directly back to the Sioux Falls Humane Society to be used for food, toys, vaccines, microchips, spay/neuter and other medical necessities,” said Allison Wyant, Special Events Coordinator, Sioux Falls Area Humane Society.

As the “All Together In-giving” efforts began to spread Rudy Kryer, Business Development Manager for a local ATI partner, RAS – Risk Administration Service, contacted ATI Director of Risk Management Steve Lincoln to join the “pay it forward” efforts.

“The ripple effect that we have witnessed with our “All Together In-giving” campaign has been humbling and it really brings partners, friends, and peers together to make an impact within the communities we live and serve,” said Lincoln. “Having RAS join us in this pay it forward effort really demonstrates the ripple effect that this campaign is having locally.”

With 40 employees, over $4,600 will be presented from December 16-December 23 to a very broad scope of recipients.
